We finally got the result we wanted! Thank you Michele for everything!
Fertility and Conception Reflexology can be part of your plan from the moment you decide to try for a baby. The decision is an exciting one as you start on a new adventure. But unfortunately now 1 in 6 couples in the UK find that they have difficulty falling pregnant. This is upsetting and stressful. You feel that it should be easy, and you wonder why it isn’t for you. Your doctor tells you that there’s nothing physically wrong. There is no medical reason why you are struggling to conceive.
That is when you are given the advice to just relax. Whilst the advice is well meaning, it feels like the last thing that you can do. Luckily reflexology can help.
It is true that it helps if you are relaxed, stress free and happy. And there is no doubt that reflexology is deeply relaxing. Furthermore, the balancing effect of fertility and conception reflexology during this time may support your body and get you in the best place possible to fall pregnant.
You can have reflexology at any stage of your fertility journey. You might be just setting out, you might have been trying for a while. If you have seen your GP, you might have had some initial tests, or you might have been referred for more in depth tests. You may have started taking fertility drugs such as clomid, or you may be undergoing IVF or IUI treatment. Reflexology can also support couples using surrogacy or donors in IVF cycles.
Reflexology gives you both the opportunity to take time out for yourself when you need it most. It can help to:
- regulate menstrual cycles
- balance hormone levels
- return the menstrual cycle (if you have amenorrhoea)
- encourage ovulation
- reduce stress levels
Even if there is a medical reason, reflexology may also help. A number of conditions have shown improvement from reflexology. (Holt et al 2009, McCullough et al 2014 and Tiran D 2010). These are:
- polycystic ovaries,
- cervical problems,
- adhesions (scar tissue),
- pelvic inflammatory disease,
- premenstrual syndrome,
- hormonal imbalances,
- blocked or damaged fallopian tubes,
- menstrual problems,
A Very Happy Client!
Michele was very warm and welcoming … and made me feel at ease straight away. She asked me lots of questions and took the time to get to know me and my situation. We talked about treatment options and I didn’t feel pressured into anything I didn’t want to do.
My first appointment was just before I was due to ovulate and Michele reassured me that [it] might happen any time soon. The following week I had a second treatment and based on where it felt tender, Michele said my ovary reflexes on my left side were what was causing the discomfort, suggesting ovulation had occurred. The morning before my third appointment I got a positive pregnancy test!
Michele has been so kind and caring and helped me to feel very relaxed this cycle! We’ve …finally got the result we wanted!
Thank you Michele for everything!

When should you start Fertility and Conception Reflexology?
It is a good idea if both partners have fertility and conception reflexology treatments. You can start at any stage. You might want to enhance your general health before trying for a baby. Perhaps you are having problems with conception or already receiving fertility treatment. You may already have one child but finding it’s taking longer to become pregnant this time round. It takes three months for the reproductive cells to mature in the male and female so this is an opportunity to get the body in the best condition.
Whilst a one-off treatment may help, it is usual to start a course of weekly treatments. This allows different support protocols for different weeks of the cycle. For IUI, IVF and ICSI the protocols will support your drug regime.
Choosing someone to work with on your fertility journey is an important task. If you would like a no-obligation discussion before you decide, we can arrange that. Or if you want to try a few sessions before you commit, that is fine too. On my part, I need to be sure that I can offer you the appointments that you need, at the timing that suits you.
If we agree to work together, we will start with an intensive consultation. This will cover your fertility journey at length, your health history, diet and lifestyle, and your menstrual cycle. It is also useful to have the results of any tests to hand.
Reflexology is a holistic therapy and in addition to the treatment, we will talk about other aspects, such as nutrition and lifestyle, fertility tracking and identifying whether you have any habits that could be obstacles. I may refer you to other therapists such as nutritionists if necessary.
Each treatment will start with an assessment. You will then have a full reflexology treatment, and we will end with the specific protocol relating to your cycle. As well as working reflexes associated with the reproductive system, I will target stress and hormone points.
I will also show you self-help techniques for managing stress and enhancing relaxation between treatments. You can use them on yourself, and also on your partner.
